From a stock template to more than 8x the orders.
MOB Biotech runs a research-peptide ecommerce store at mobpeptides.net. We have rebuilt it twice since mid-2024, most recently on Bricks, and order volume has grown more than 8x.

A peptide ecommerce brand in a compliance-heavy market.
MOB Biotech supplies peptides for research use only. The market has real constraints: products gated behind RUO and FDA rules, payment processors most gateways will not touch, and buyers who expect a certificate of analysis behind every batch.
When we took over in mid-2024, on a referral from another peptide founder, the store ran on an off-the-shelf WooCommerce template that was never built for any of that.
A stock template carrying a serious catalog.
The old store worked, but it was a generic template doing a job it was never built for:
- 01
An off-the-shelf template
No brand, no information architecture, and no room to scale the catalog.
- 02
No compliance gating
An RUO and FDA-sensitive catalog sitting open to the public.
- 03
A stock checkout
The default WooCommerce flow, with nothing tuned for conversion.
- 04
Manual operations
No loyalty, no reporting, no COA system. Fulfilment and finance handled by hand.
What we built.
Three rounds of design, one growing store.
We took the store off its stock template in 2024 and have rebuilt it twice since. The first rebuild, on Elementor, gave it a real design and a catalog organized by research area, recovery, longevity, cognitive, rather than by chemistry. We refreshed the homepage in 2025.
In 2026 we rebuilt the whole site on Bricks with Advanced Themer, a faster and more maintainable foundation than the Elementor build it replaced, carrying every order and customer across each migration.
A compliance-grade storefront.
The store is login-gated to meet FDA and RUO expectations, the way the established peptide sites operate.
Payments run through custom, high-risk-friendly gateways, NMI, ByteNFT and Coinbase Commerce, so checkout keeps working in a category most processors avoid.

Software we built for them.
Three custom plugins, not plugins off a shelf:
- COA Vault, an AI-assisted system that manages certificates of analysis and links the right COA to every product and batch.
- A custom loyalty and rewards system tuned to repeat research buyers.
- Slack reporting that pushes WooCommerce sales and operations summaries straight into Slack for the team.

Commerce engineering.
FunnelKit drives the checkout flow. Bulk pricing and linked product variations match the way peptides are actually bought.
Returning buyers earn and redeem loyalty points at checkout, and pay by card or crypto.
Operations, and a team we work with directly.
QuickBooks for finance, Omnisend for email, ShipStation and Trackship for fulfilment and tracking, all kept in sync.
We work directly with the MOB marketing team and manage the whole stack on our advanced care plan: Kinsta hosting, central management, security monitoring, and updates.
